I don't like Mondays.

Two years ago today, we found our house and made an offer. Two nail-bitingly bad days later, we found out it was accepted (over at least two other offers). We got the keys on May 6 and it's all gone downhill from there. I keed. I love my house, even if I have more grey hairs than ever because of it. I can't believe we've been here almost two years.

Last Friday I had an ultrasound. Two, actually: one regular and one transvaginal (aka Dildo Cam). I have yet another doctor's appointment on Wednesday and hopefully the results will be back. The tech said she saw some irregularities, but that could be anything. My pap smear came back normal, so I'm not too worried about crotch cancer. Ass cancer on the other hand...

I'm reading some really good books right now. I love discovering new authors and reading old favorites. Books rock.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm hooked on the New York Times crossword puzzle. I suuuuuuuck, but am slowly getting better. Brian has done their crossword for years, while I've just looked over his shoulder and moaned about how I'm too stupid to attempt it. About a month ago, we watched Wordplay, an AMAZING documentary on Will Shortz (NYT puzzle editor) and other puzzle fanatics. Ever since, I've been doing the damn puzzle. I've yet to finish one without any help, but I've come dang close.

First I take up knitting and now it's the crosswords. What next- watercolors?
